Nagisa beamed. "I'm glad you like it! One of the first things I got for myself when I moved was matching dinnerware."

"Isn't that for you?"

He looked down at the package in his hands. "OH right." He grabbed the paper in his fingers, squeezing the slack and ripping the paper apart quickly. The box under the paper was plain and unassuming. He looked up, giving his parents a quizzical look. Sano simply sipped what was left of his coffee, and Megumi only smiled. Nagisa struggled with the tape sealing the box shut for a few moments before triumphantly ripping off the adhesive strip. "Got it!" he exclaimed, lifting the lid excitedly.

Looking in the box, his jaw dropped. "You didn't!" he practically shouted. Megumi laughed, waving her hand. "Go on, take it out of the box!" she urged.

Gently, Nagisa reached into the box and pulled out a beautifully varnished radio; the wood panelling was a light maple wood, with the trimmings in a dark cherry. It was miles above the radio he currently owned, which was his parents' old radio before they had upgraded to a newer model. He ran his hands over the shining surface reverently. "It's so beautiful!"

The rest of the presents were unwrapped quickly. Aside from the radio, Nagisa also got new argyle socks, a pair of wingtip shoes, and a lovely set of bookmarks with comic-styled hand-drawn characters. Megumi and Sano exchanged a handful of presents with each other, mainly loungeware and practical gifts (new music supplies for Sano, accounting supplies for Megumi). Hyuk-jae even got one more gift, which was a lovely set of cooking utensils.

After present opening, Nagisa sidled up to Hyuk-jae, leaning his head on his shoulder. "And now we just relax until bed," he murmured, a little sleepy, "and in the morning a few more presents from neighbours and family, and we listen to the radio shows and snack until it's time for the pot luck."

Megumi passed by with a smile on her face, then came back and quietly set down a mug of heated milk for Nagisa. Nagisa took the mug and started sipping.

"Are you having a good time, Hyuk-jae?" he asked, stifling a yawn. "Are you having fun?"

Watching them all open their presents, Hyuk-jae felt strangely hollow. This happy, cozy scene — was this how lots of other people remembered Solstice, growing up? Was this what people meant by 'normal' families? His own Solstices were always… well, not like this. His parents scraped by, he remembered that. Attempting holidays happened when he was very small, but not in the years that followed. Too much work for something that could so easily be ruined, he supposed.

The Ryugazakis were all so happy. They pleasantly exchanged thoughtful gifts for each other, indulged their son, went out of their way to be nice to Hyuk-jae — it was surreal. Nagisa's beautiful present of a lovely, brand-new radio was exquisite. He was obviously pleased, shouting over it and staring at it with big, wide eyes. It really was a beautiful gift! Hyuk-jae thanked everyone profusely, unable to conceal his shock at receiving yet another gift.

When his boyfriend curled up with him, Hyuk-jae ruffled his hair. "I see," he said, as Nagisa explained the plan. Bed sounded nice, actually. Pot luck tomorrow sounded a bit less nice, but it would probably go all right. Nagisa was clearly quite sleepy, too! His mother passed him some warm milk. Declining any further refreshment, the Firebender allowed himself to relax in his seat for a little while. It was warm and comfortable in the house.

Was he having fun? "It's the nicest Solstice I ever had," Hyuk-jae said. He wondered, idly, if they'd be sharing a bed for the night. Would they? What would Nagisa's parents think? He almost wished they'd go back to his place… a cold night was perfect for finding inventive ways of keeping warm. Shifting beneath Nagisa's head on his shoulder, Hyuk-jae glanced at Sano and Megumi.

"I'm actually pretty tired," he said, after a moment. After all, he'd gotten up early, thanks to Nagisa. Yawning a little, the orange-eyed young man looked out the window. Snow was still falling, perfect flakes of white. They'd probably wake up to a thick blanket of it. After a gentle inquiry, Hyuk-jae was directed to was looked like Nagisa's old room.

A full-size bed, tucked with clean, crisp sheets stared at him from underneath a carpet of stuffed animal toys in various stages of disrepair and love. The room was pleasantly wallpapered in a striped muted red and cream, matching the dark red linens on the bed. Wooden furniture was quite serviceable and obviously well-worn. Hyuk-jae scooted a stuffed tiger seal toy to the side, followed by an eel hound toy and sat on the bed, stretching. He glanced about.

Well, his boyfriend certainly had a menagerie, didn't he? Experimentally, the Firebender picked up the elephant rat toy to his right and squeezed it. It squeaked. Pulling the red tie from his hair, he released it from its small, low ponytail-esque style and ran a hand through it. A bit of a headache throbbed at the back of his eyes, probably from all the excitement and the lights. His bag sat by the bedroom door, next to Nagisa's.

Did he have to put on the pajamas, he wondered? It seemed so unnecessary...

Wait, next to Nagisa's? So they absolutely would be sleeping in the same room. He grinned to himself, rubbing the back of his neck. Nagisa's parents were more open-minded than he'd expected. Hyuk-jae pulled another stuffed toy onto his lap and played with its ears, noting the wear around its seams.

Nagisa sleepily followed Hyuk-jae to his old room, shuffling his feet on the floor as he moved. Paying very little attention to his surroundings, he scooted on the bed, flopping down next to Hyuk-jae and on top of his mountain of stuffed animals. He opened a sleepy eye to Hyuk-jae moving his lion-seal plushy.

"That's Mr. Blubby," he yawned, resting his head on top of a stuffed air bison. Then he pointed to the elephant-rat. "And that's Miss Sally." The two had a complex history; Mr. Blubby and Miss Sally used to be the best of friends, until Mr. Blubby heard from Juju, the stuffed fire ferret, that Miss Sally was spreading rumours about him.

Of course, he didn't say any of this to Hyuk-jae; his boyfriend didn't need to know that he still made up stories for his animals.

Feeling himself starting to slip into sleep, Nagisa forced himself to get up to switch into his pyjamas. "You don't have to change into yours tonight," he said, yawning again and fumbling with his pyjama pants. "Just wear them tomorrow morning. It's tradition to stay in our pyjamas all day on the day of solstice, until we dress up for the block party."

Unceremoniously, Nagisa shoved all of his stuffed animals onto the floor before climbing under the covers. He paused, staring at the jumbled pile for a few moments, before pulling out Mr. Blubby and tucking it under his arm. He tried to stay awake while Hyuk-jae got ready for bed, but his eyelids felt so heavy, especially after drinking that cup of warm milk.

By the time Hyuk-jae slipped into bed, Nagisa was already asleep.

And he slept like a log until about seven in the morning. It was one of those sleeps where he barely remembered going to bed, and waking up was instant. He opened his eyes, feeling wide awake; sitting up, he saw through the window that it had snowed even more overnight and was still snowing lightly. He grinned. A fresh snowfall was very much his favourite; the unblemished white blanket of snow looked so perfect. The new three inches or so of snowfall had been powdery, and everything outside looked like a magical winter wonderland.

He kissed Hyuk-jae lightly on the forehead before slipping out of bed as quietly as possible and padding into the living room. His mother and father were already awake, enjoying hot cups of coffee. Megumi had a pale pink robe on over matching pyjamas; Sano wore dark blue loungewear in a style identical to Nagisa's dark red.

"Good morning!" he said brightly. His parents greeted him, Sano gesturing to the table. "Help yourself," he said in his quiet way. Nagisa grinned, grabbing a plate and piling it high with the deep fried breaded apple rings and the croquettes.

Hyuk-jae glanced at the lion-seal plushie, and then at some of the others. Nagisa clearly had played with them well, making up all kinds of stories for them. In fact, he probably still did. Laughing, the Firebender set Miss Sally aside. "Don't tell me, you're making up a drama for them, right? Who cheated on who?"

But he received no reply. Turning around after pulling off his sweater, Hyuk-jae smiled softly. Nagisa was already sleeping, curled around a stuffed toy. The tall young man slipped into bed beside his boyfriend, careful not to disturb. He fell quickly to sleep himself, stretched out in the bed with Nagisa pulled up against his side. Hyuk-jae fitfully turned in his sleep, but soon settled down.

He slept quite late. It was already nine in the morning when he cracked his eyes open, and Nagisa was gone. Remembering his instructions about pajamas, Hyuk-jae pulled them on distastefully before appearing in the kitchen like a shadow. He asked very quietly for coffee, not much of a morning person. The young man had no taste for the sweet breakfast foods, declining them altogether. It seemed he was the last person up.

Taking a seat by the window, Hyuk-jae stared out at the snow. He wondered what his parents were doing. Had they celebrated Solstice together with him gone? Were they all right? Still living in the same house? He'd thought about happening by more than once, but pride and shame both stopped him. Resting his chin in his hand, he sat brooding with his coffee until a very cheerful Megumi Ryugazaki interrupted his thoughts with scrambled eggs and three pieces of bacon.

Bacon was a simple way to Hyuk-jae's heart.

Hyuk-jae, after eating, felt better. Nagisa's family was too happy and warm to resist, and they soon were playing a card game in their pajamas, teamed off couple against couple. Soon able to forget his own family, Hyuk-jae bantered with Megumi and Nagisa and, from time to time, chatted idly with Sano about music. He was happy to show off the guitar Nagisa gave him, as well as discuss songwriting with the older man. At first, he declined a request to play, but after a little wheedling by his boyfriend, the Firebender agreed to sing after lunch.

As he stood in the kitchen with Megumi, helping to prepare their afternoon meal, Hyuk-jae asked questions about the block party. What was it? What was involved? Would he have to do anything specific or special? He'd never been to such a thing. That lingering headache still sat at the base of his neck, but as he drank tea with Sano, he was able to ignore it.

The morning of solstice was always such a relaxing time. In the hours before Hyuk-jae woke up, Nagisa ate his fill of the apple rings and croquettes. He beamed with happiness when Hyuk-jae woke up, ignoring his quiet demeanour; by this point he already knew Hyuk-jae wasn't much for the mornings. He squealed with delight as Hyuk-jae began to open up, even participating in a card game with him versus his parents.

When Megumi and Hyuk-jae went into the kitchen to prepare their food for the afternoon, Nagisa hung back with his dad.

"Do you like Hyuk-jae?" he asked, settling next to his father on the piano bench. Sano nodded.
"He's a good young man," said the older man in his quiet way, starting up a merry tune on the piano.

Nagisa joined in, the duet filling the house with cheer.

In the kitchen, Megumi was putting together some bulgogi on an above-the-stove grill. "It's just a little neighbourhood get together," she was telling Hyuk-jae as she turned the meat. "Each household makes a dish, and we pick and choose what to eat and just mingle with the neighbours. Sometimes we sing songs together, and watch the tower light up with the decorative solstice lights."

After lunch — Nagisa uncharacteristically ate very little, trying to save up room for the block party feast — Hyuk-jae and Sano shared some tea while Nagisa and Megumi fussed over what to wear, a small argument being heard slightly from Megumi and Sano's shared bedroom.

"Mo-ther! I already picked out my clothes!"
"But Auntie sent this just for you--"

Sano coughed a little, smiling slightly at Hyuk-jae. "They're very much the same," he said, "my wife and son. Same strong personality. Same loud mouth." He laughed a little.

Around five in the afternoon, the block party started; a bunch of people came out of their homes, bringing out wooden tables and steaming bowls and dishes. The street out front had been cleared of snow, and people wrapped in heavy clothes began gathering around tables, chattering and exchanging season's greetings.

Inside, Nagisa and Hyuk-jae were putting on their outdoor clothes. Pulling on his scarf, Nagisa smiled shyly at Hyuk-jae. "Can... Can I introduce you to everyone as — as my boyfriend?" he asked, blushing until his face matched the colour of the yarn.

The piano music was sweet and warm, and Hyuk-jae found himself humming along while in the kitchen with Megumi. Her explanation of potluck was simple. Hyuk-jae had never been to such a thing, of course. His parents hadn't wanted him socializing like that. Too dangerous.

Hyuk-jae laughed with Sano. Yes, Nagisa did seem quite like his mother. He took out his guitar and tuned it carefully. The man had asked, after all, to hear some of his work. Nervously, the dark-haired young man started with a simple song, voice and acoustic accompaniment only. One of his older songs, this one was melancholy and quiet.

"Such are the things that make a kingdom rumble and shatter
The same dynamic that another day would never matter
It really just depends on who's giving and who's receiving
And things that don't make sense are always a little deceiving..."*

Outside, the bustle of people could be heard in the street. Hyuk-jae looked up as he finished, catching Nagisa staring at him from the doorway. The younger man's eyes were bright and... tear-filled? Setting the guitar aside, Hyuk-jae stared back, concerned and flustered. "A-are you okay?"
Nagisa cleared his throat. "I'm fine," he said.
"What's wrong?"

Sano glanced between them, amused. Megumi bustled through the living room, waving her arm at her son. Apparently they were meant to be getting dressed. Hyuk-jae stashed his guitar and went to find his coat, a forest-green piece with toggle buttons. He always had a little trouble with the toggles, but it was cheap.

"Can... Can I introduce you to everyone as — as my boyfriend?"

Surprised, Hyuk-jae stopped mid-button and stared at Nagisa. "Well .. I am your boyfriend," he said, "how else would you introduce me?"

He laughed easily, flipping his hair out of his eyes. "Good question," he acknowledged. "I just didn't know if you wanted to be out there with this, in a new neighbourhood." Nagisa smiled, showing all his teeth. "But if you don't have a problem with it, then I'll let everyone know!"

Once they were outside, he was true to his word. "And this is my boyfriend, Hyuk-jae!" he said, unprompted, to anyone who greeted them. No one batted an eyelash, welcoming Hyuk-jae to the neighbourhood warmly. Nagisa was well remembered by his former neighbours as the quiet and sweet, but a little odd, Ryugazaki boy. Sano and Megumi also proudly introduced Hyuk-jae as their son's boyfriend, Megumi especially vocal about her happiness.

The whole neighbourhood had shown up as per tradition; Nagisa led Hyuk-jae to all the different tables the neighbourhood families set up. Each family made a signature dish, and Nagisa made sure to show Hyuk-jae his favourites, as well as the ones he thought Hyuk-jae would like and be able to eat.

The hours passed with people shooting the breeze, catching up with visiting relatives, singing solstice songs, and just laughing and having a good time. Nagisa was rosy, both from the cold air and the attention. He sang along to the solstice songs loudly and sweetly, his voice ringing out clear over the crowd.

As night fell — early, considering the time — the neighbourhood looked up and watched as the holiday lights turned on with the Tower. Nagisa slipped his hand into Hyuk-jae's, leaning up against his boyfriend contentedly.

"Happy Solstice," he murmured.

After some long goodbyes and happy solstices, the families of the neighbourhood returned to their respective homes. Hyuk-jae and Nagisa were taking off their shoes in the foyer when Megumi clicked the radio to life.

... heavy snowfall for tonight and tomorrow; stay warm and indoors!

Megumi instantly clasped her hands together. "Oh, you must stay tonight!" she said. "Until the weather clears. It'll be great, we can cook lots of food together, listen to radio shows, get to know each other better!"

Nagisa glanced at Hyuk-jae. As much as he liked his parents, he rather wanted to go home to his own place. "Um..."

It seemed the Ryugazakis lived in a very open and accepting neighborhood. Hyuk-jae was frankly surprised by how… nice everyone was to him. The warm introduction he received from Nagisa's family was heartening, as well.

Allowing Nagisa to help him with foods was his only safe bet — Hyuk-jae knew he could eat something they'd brought, and with his boyfriend's help he was mostly successfully able to navigate the rest of the spread. People asked him questions and he answered his best. Hyuk-jae tried to be social and play games, but rapidly became fatigued. He wasn't used to large groups of people or interacting with them, and found it difficult.

The holiday lights blinking on bothered him a little, but as his boyfriend snuggled up to his side, the Firebender realized he could not think of a single place he'd rather be. "Happy Solstice," he returned the wish, and bent his head to kiss Nagisa sweetly in the dark.

"Oh, you must stay tonight! Until the weather clears. It'll be great … get to know each other better!"

Absolutely not. Appearing slightly alarmed, Hyuk-jae looked to Nagisa. His boyfriend seemed to share his apprehension. Putting on a bright smile, Hyuk-jae shook his head. "We couldn't," he said, "really. I appreciate your hospitality, but I'd really like to get home." He glanced at Nagisa, obviously hoping for a little support. Megumi, like her son, could be… overbearing.

Sano at least seemed to have an understanding of young men and why they wouldn't wish to stay. He gave Hyuk-jae a look that raised a dark brow in return.
"The boys will get home all right," Nagisa's father said.
Megumi protested again, but Hyuk-jae was already bringing his bag to the door. He would not be stuck in a childhood room for one more night! There were a million things he'd like to do with Nagisa for Solstice and all of them involved not being in a house with thin walls and Nagisa's parents.

They ended up getting back to Nagisa's apartment with no trouble at all. The snow began falling in a thick blanket, but it wasn't much trouble for them. Hyuk-jae spent their night teaching Nagisa about patience and stamina.

Bright winter days after Solstice passed in a blur of work. In between a large group of new clients, attracted by their confrontation with Nima and keeping up with the old ones, Hyuk-jae barely managed to find the time needed to go find a recording studio, make an appointment, and polish songs. In the end, he got his record for Nagisa recorded and finished at the last possible moment — the night before the young man's birthday.

As he finished frosting a raspberry cream cake with lacy, careful icing, Hyuk-jae glanced at the record. Was it a cop-out, giving his boyfriend something that Nagisa had also given his parents before? He'd been careful to only put original work on it — well, original work and one cover. It seemed like something Nagisa would like, unless he cried… the Firebender hadn't missed his response to the song he'd played for Sano. Hyuk-jae purposefully left that one off in favor of sweet songs about love, for the most part.

Unfortunately he'd written more than his share of melancholy songs. Happy material was hard to come by, though he was trying. The cover song had required him to pay a fee for use, but it was the song that had been playing at the Club the night they'd both accidentally confessed. Hyuk-jae wondered if Nagisa remembered it?

A glance at the clock revealed it to be almost the time he'd told Nagisa to come 'round. Hyuk-jae carefully set the brightly-wrapped record up next to the cake and lit candles, turning off all other lights.

Nagisa was grateful that Hyuk-jae spoke up. "Sorry, mother," he said brightly, not sounding very sorry at all. "I'll come visit you later, okay?" Megumi tutted as she pushed a bag with wrapped up leftovers into his arms.

The first words out of his mouth when they got back to his place was that he needed a fire place. Luckily for him, Hyuk-jae provided with an opportunity to warm up quite nicely.

After solstice, Nagisa experienced his usual letdown of feelings; there was just something about the end of solstice that made him disappointed. At the turn of the year, Nagisa and Hyuk-jae spent the night together, snacking on Hyuk-jae-made snacks and sparkling juice (for Nagisa) and water (for Hyuk-jae). The two rang in the new year intimately, while fireworks went off out-of-doors.

As the weeks passed, filled with an increasing client list and busier work hours, Nagisa's slight melancholy over the end of the winter holidays began to dissipate at the approach of his birthday. He talked about it non-stop, excited to get another year older. He mentioned nothing about presents or the ilk; his only concern was that he spend his birthday with Hyuk-jae.

In the week preceding his birthday, clients came by with cards; most of them had learned from Nima to not present Nagisa with any gifts. A couple of new clients gave him boxes of sweets. He accepted them all politely, bubbling with happiness.

The night of his birthday was a night off. Hyuk-jae had instructed him to come around to his flat after nightfall. When he got there, he paused at the door, confused. The apartment seemed dark, like no one was home, but the door was unlocked. Warily, he pushed open the door.

The room was dark, save for a glow from candles slightly further into the room. He took a hesitant step in, opening his mouth to call out for Hyuk-jae. The words died on his lips as he spotted a beautifully decorated cake and a thin, brightly wrapped package. He gasped, his hands flying to his cheeks. He turned around, trying to find Hyuk-jae in the dark. "Where are you?" he asked, squinting.

What felt like hours passed before Nagisa opened the front door. Hyuk-jae held his breath, the glow from the candles barely illuminating the kitchen. His boyfriend's gasp brought him from the living room up behind him, and as Nagisa asked where he was, Hyuk-jae slid his arms around the young man's waist.

"Happy birthday!" he said, just as Nagisa turned around in his arms. Leaning down, the Firebender pressed their lips together in a sweet kiss even as he used his left hand to close the door with a shove. Turning Nagisa loose, he went around to the cake. "C'mon. Sweets for the sweet." Hyuk-jae waited for Nagisa to stand in front of the cake, urging him to make a wish and blow the candles out.

It really was a beautiful, if small, cake. Fluffy white icing laced the outside, top studded with raspberries, and when cut into the cake revealed even, perfect pink layers. Sweet but tangy with raspberry, the cake had the effervescent taste of champagne in its layers. Hyuk-jae would never admit it to Nagisa, but he'd taste-tested at least three cakes on co-workers in secret while trying to prepare.

The key he'd had made felt like it was burning a hole in his pocket as he carefully set a piece of cake out onto a plate and handed it to his boyfriend. He wanted to deliver the key casually, so the moment had to be right. The record was wrapped as the main gift, anyway. Smiling, Hyuk-jae poured both of them a small glass of pink champagne — left over from the cake, of course. "I hope it tastes all right."

Going to the recording studio had taken a lot of nerve. He'd very painstakingly picked the track listing, trying to make the record tell a story if listened to properly. As such, sadder songs came first with a hopefully middle and very happy ones after. The record ended in what was probably the most embarrassingly sweet love song he'd ever written. Hopefully not a single soul besides Nagisa would hear it, else he might die of mortification.

Sitting down, Hyuk-jae leaned his chin in his hand and stared at his boyfriend. The fluffy-haired young man had been excited about his birthday for weeks, talking of nothing else. It seemed that Nagisa liked getting older. As such, his quiet boyfriend wanted the day to be perfect. Handing the brightly-wrapped package over, he tried not to chew his lower lip as Nagisa ripped into the wrapping.

"… well?" Hyuk-jae looked from the record to Nagisa's face. "I hope you don't mind," he started to say, but cut off talking at Nagisa's expression. Did he hate it?

"Um. Do you... want to listen to it?"

Nagisa felt like he'd explode from happiness. He accepted the slice of cake from Hyuk-jae with wide eyes and a broad grin, taking a healthy first bite and savouring the flavour. "Mmmmm," he crooned, his eyes closed in enjoyment. "This is amazing! And an unusual cake, but I really like it!" Nagisa made himself at home, holding his plate out for a second piece. It was, after all, his cake.

Hyuk-jae passed the wrapped package to him; he grabbed it eagerly, tearing apart the paper. Under it was a thin, design-less paper sleeve. It was a record, he knew instantly. The fluffy-haired young man looked up, his eyes wide and teary. "You... you recorded, for me?" The sleeve, unlike those from a professional singer, had no picture, no name, no endorsements.

"Thank you," he murmured thickly. He stepped closer to his boyfriend, opening his arms and enveloping him in a hug. "I'd love to listen to it." Motioning for Hyuk-jae to sit on the sofa, Nagisa walked over to the phonograph across the room and slipped the record in place, gently placing the needle on the outermost groove and letting the machine run.

Hyuk-jae's voice crackled to life through the speaker, the gentle strains of guitar floating through the apartment. Nagisa joined Hyuk-jae on the couch, his glass of champagne in hand, and curled up next to him. He sipped it quietly as he listened to Hyuk-jae's music — made for him! Just for him! — musing as the tracks played one after another.

The first few songs were sad, like Hyuk-jae was down in the dumps. Then the songs got a little happier, and happier, and finally ending in a sweet love song that mad Nagisa blush beet-red. He rested his head on Hyuk-jae's shoulder, his eyes a little wet. It was the sweetest, kindest thing anyone had ever done for him. He sniffed a little.

"That was ... wonderful," he murmured.

"It's pink," Hyuk-jae said, a bit helpless. "You like pink food." His boyfriend took a second piece and he smiled a little. As Nagisa unwrapped the present, though, it was dismaying to see tears in his eyes. He didn't like it?

You recorded for me?

"Well… yeah," Hyuk-jae said. "I know it's kind of a cop-out present since you recorded for your parents. But I just, I didn't know what else to get you, and —"
Nagisa cut him off with a hug. The tall young man went to curl up on his sofa at his boyfriend's suggestion, tucking his feet up under him. Hyuk-jae always sat in the corner of the sofa with his back wedged against the fabric, and that was how he sat now, eyes on Nagisa as he set the record playing.

Hearing his own voice was startling. Hyuk-jae hadn't listened to the record after receiving it, finding the thought too embarrassing. His voice sounded… smoky? Low? It didn't sound like it did in his head. Was that really how it sounded to other people? Blushing, he glanced at Nagisa. The younger man was blushing. Maybe the gift was too much?

"That was ... wonderful."

Surprised, Hyuk-jae laughed. "I — really?" It was cheesy, right? He ruffled Nagisa's hair. "Don't let anybody else listen to it, okay? Promise?" His glass was now empty. He'd drained it after the first song, out of sheer embarrassment! Relaxing a little, he slid both arms around Nagisa's waist and pulled him close to his chest.

"I had… other things planned for your birthday," he murmured, lips near the younger man's ear before moving down to brush against his neck. "But we'll need to move the sofa and get the bed down." Sliding long fingers beneath his boyfriend's shirt, Hyuk-jae carefully explored the man's soft skin. Usually he was quite giving, but tonight he had the perverse desire to hear Nagisa beg him for what he wanted. The more explicit, the better, in fact.
