Fun! A bit difficult, though. I tend to associate characters with several songs, depending on their emotional state. And when I'm writing I also tend to just listen to jazz music, either Bix Beiderbecke or Artie Shaw.

For Mei-zhen I'd say the instrumental version of Aerith's Theme from Final Fantasy VII.
For Akane, Knights of Cydonia by Muse.

To have a single theme song for any character is hard, but I tend to have a couple for different situations.

For now, his character theme is Godsmack - I Stand Alone

Jin's theme when he was young, or when he is down would have to be Seether - Rise Above This


His fighting theme for now is Bodies - Drowning Pool

Ooh, Ai Lin! I love Artie Shaw! And I love Aerith's Theme, too!

The Clock Maker's could be Diamonds and Gold by Tom Waits.
