As some of you may or may not have noticed by now, Yi Feng’s activity has disappeared. Those who have posted profiles within the past few months will have noticed this more than anyone else has, because with some, there have been a significant wait. This is why, and the Core Staff sincerely apologizes for all the inconvenience that any of you may have experienced. Real Life has taken over again, and prevented him from doing his job as Profiles Moderator. Consequently, he is no longer a member of the Staff.
Now, with that being said, the Core Staff is going to take over Profiles. I want to make sure that everyone realizes that this means that your profile might not be done in a day or two. We ask you to give us between three and seven days to get it done. We are all busy and have lives, and that does prevent us from devoting the time to this site that we might want. Please be patient with us, however, if you experience a long delay with your profile, please PM me or Toph.
Now, on to another matter. We have noticed people posting incomplete profiles. In the past, we have not said this; however, we have noticed that almost every time, the writer of the profile does not PM us when we are finished. As the Core Staff does not check the Profile boards frequently to see if such profiles have been finished, the person finishes them and it never is approved. Then, they PM a member of the Core Staff, yell, and get angry that they have waited so long, when they never informed us that they finished their profile. Therefore, as of this PM, we are no longer allowing members to post incomplete profiles. Any incomplete profiles posted after this point will be deleted and PMed back to the author, no questions asked.

Hiya Members! Toph here, with a bit of an update on profiles and profiles acceptance.
As of 01/31/09, all new profiles MUST be posted in the new "Pending Character Profiles" subboard of the Profiles area. This is to make things easier on member and staff alike - once a profile is approved, the thread will be moved to the proper subboard.
Your thread title will be modified with a [P] to show that a moderator is indeed looking at your profile. If you do not see a [P] in your thread title, it has not yet been looked at. Another change is that profiles will be listed from oldest to newest, so that we deal with profiles in the order they are submitted. UPDATED 04.23.09 - DO NOT add [P - Moderator's Name] to your thread title! This is for staff to do. Thank you!
Hopefully, this new system will be better for ALL of us.
Oh yes, another announcement. Starting Tuesday, February 3, 2009, I will be the new head-of-profiles. Please direct any profile questions to me with the title "Profile Question". This does NOT mean to PM me with "Is my profile reviewed yet?" or stuff like that, OK guys? ^_^ That's what the pending board is for, so you will know.

Update [3/16/09] -
I am going home for Spring Break, which means that I won't be online as often as I usually am. As a result, newly submitted profiles might take a bit longer to get looked at. If you submit a new profile this week, please give me three to five days to look at it if Toph doesn't look at it first.

If you've submitted a profile for review in the last few days, you might notice that it hasn't been reviewed yet (aside from a couple special cases). Unfortunately, my professors thought it would be hilarious to pile on projects and things, which means that it's coming down to crunch time; this means that it's going to take me longer to review profiles than it normally does, but I'll try to get to the pending profiles when I can (no guarantees on the time). The madness ends next week, though, so at the very latest, it'll be next Thursday (worst case). Oh, yeah, and Toph's pretty busy too.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. I know how frustrating it is to have to wait on a profile review, believe me.

Hey there, TARPers, it's one of your resident profile mods, Kai, here.
Unfortunately, fortune couldn't have turned on both Toph and I at a worse time; due to my living situation, I can't connect to the internet on a regular basis, so I'm stuck using the campus computers until I move into my new place. That being said, profiles are going to take considerably longer to approve until I move on August 17th (the 18th at the latest) because I have to work and post in addition to my duties as profiles mod, and it's kinda stressful; therefore, don't be surprised if it takes five to seven days to get your profile approved. I'm working on some tomorrow, but no guarantees they'll all be done. Just sit tight, and every ounce of patience you can have with me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Now that school is back in session, ironically, I'll have more time now to work on profiles. I'll be going through the list tonight and seeing what I need to do, then I'll be working on reviewing profiles tomorrow. Wow...it seems like I'm dominating this thread, but then again, I am the profiles mod...
Anyway, see that countdown in my display name? That's how many days I have until I leave for Michigan, which means I'm taking two weeks off from the site, basically. Karena has graciously offered to mod profiles in my absence, and I'm sure that Shio will help as well; hopefully, Toph can get her rear in gear when she comes back on the 15th and make sure that no profiles go unmodded while I'm gone. I'll be back on January 5th, so try not to miss me too much while I'm gone, kay?

Most only affect future or newer members, but some do affect current members, so you should be familiar. The changes are detailed, as well as explained, in here and the PM.
